When we bring a buyer to the builder's sales office and register as their Realtor®, we earn a commission from the builder that is paid to us at closing. Only licensed Realtors® can earn this commission. It is out of this earned commission that we are able to pay you back 1% of the base price of the home by crediting that amount towards your closing costs. This has the same effect as cash since it directly reduces the amount of money you bring to closing.
